Description
Coordinate the Engineering activities for subsystem and components development. Responsible for compliance to the vehicle / system / subsystem / component Requirements; including ES (Engineering Specifications), DR (Design Rules) and Government regulations. Responsible for the integration of the required Engineering headcount to perform above noted functions. Coordinate Engineering efforts for vehicle / system / subsystem / component part development and release. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or Related degree Masters degree High English proficiency (reading, writing and speaking) - Experience in functional engineering, preferably Chassis or Automotive related work experience (Ford, OEM, supplier) - Strong leadership skills - Inherent self-starter, self-motivated with strong drive for results - Project management skills - Capable of managing projects by looking both at the big picture objectives and at detail administration to achieve these objectives. - Excellent math, science, technology and IT skills, able to work in unfamiliar and unstructured situations and succeed - The ability to analyze complex problems and assess possible solutions - The ability to explain design ideas clearly and strong decision-making skills - Strong oral/written communication skills to lead group projects, issue resolution and management reviews - A comprehensive understanding of Brakes Subsystems Design Specifications and Automotive industry environment. - Computer- literate Proficiency in MS-Office/Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint 3D CAD software tools exposure (Catia / Teamcenter) - Demonstrated proficiency in engineering disciplines: DVP&R, DFMEA, 8D, NVH, Process Controls, - GD&T, Reliability and System Engineering Fundamentals - Be self-driven and willing to spend time on weekends or evening global calls, as required. - Have an emphasis on “speed of delivery” combined with quality for all objectives and tasks - Have a strong background in problem solving and industrializing Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA) quickly with minimal interaction with the leadership team. Help create Prevent Recurrence actions with the global brake core team. - Must have the ability to present to the Ford executive leadership team and have a good understanding of “Knowing the Audience”. Also, the candidate must have the ability to give an “elevator speech” by articulating a lot of technical engineering information into a short clear and concise summary.
