Job Title - Lecturer - ESOL
Contract - Variable Hours Lecturer
Job location - Elm Park Campus (Stanmore) & Harrow Art Centre (Hatch End)
Faculty - English, Maths & ESOL
Reports to - Curriculum Manager
Salary Scale - £23.46-£36.53 per hour
GENERAL:
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in a relevant subject area - Essential - Application form / Certification
A recognised English Language Teaching qualification (minimum CELTA or Cert TESOL) - Essential - Application form / Certification
Full teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DIT) or the willingness to work towards one, supported by the College - Essential - Application form / Certification
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE OF:
Proven experience of teaching in ESOL - Essential - Supporting statement/teaching assessment/interview
Teaching experience in ESOL in a Further Education setting - Desirable - Supporting statement / Interview
Up-to-date knowledge of current methodology in English Language Teaching and how it is best applied to ESOL learners - Essential - Teaching Assessment / Interview
Sound Equality, Diversity and Inclusion practice and how to apply it in the relevant area of work - Essential - Supporting Statement / Interview
A sound understanding of safeguarding and prevent. A commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults and to create a safe learning environment. - Essential - Interview / Application form
OTHER SKILLS:

JOB PURPOSE:
The main purpose of the role is to deliver high quality education and training to ensure the retention and achievement of our learners, and to teach, develop, and enhance programmes of study in subjects and courses from Pre- Entry to Level 2, that align with their knowledge, qualifications, and experience.
