Varsity Baseball – Assistant Coach Location: New York, NY (10001) Season Dates: March 2, 2026 – May 15, 2026 Compensation: $3,000–$3,300 (commensurate with experience) Position Overview The school is seeking a Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach for the Spring 2026 season. This role supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the varsity baseball program, including practices, games, athlete development, and team operations. The ideal candidate has prior baseball coaching or playing experience and is able to commit to a schedule that includes both morning and after-school hours, as well as early afternoon availability on game days. Responsibilities Assist the Head Coach with planning and leading practices Support player development, fundamentals, and positional work Coach during games and assist with strategy and in-game management Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and transportation Help maintain a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture Communicate effectively with the Head Coach and athletic department staff Practice & Game Schedule Frequency: 4 days per week Practice Times: Morning sessions: 7:00–8:20 AM After-school sessions: 4:00–5:30 PM Game Days: Coach must be available as early as 2:30 PM to transport athletes to competitions Qualifications Baseball coaching and/or playing experience (required) Ability to commit to the required morning, after-school, and early afternoon schedule Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience working with high school athletes preferred
Responsibilities
