Athletics & Recreation
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the varsity sport official (volleyball) may perform some general administration functions. Following established instructions the sports official will be responsible to work both conference and exhibition volleyball games as well as any tournaments and playoffs. The work schedule is varied requiring some evening and weekend commitment.

Duties:

  • Perform setup and take down of event equipment
  • Officiate game
  • Record game statistics & game sheets
  • Operate video, Public Address (PA) system and music system during game play
  • Distribute and track computer equipment. A log to track these items may be required

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Volleyball specific knowledge is required
  • Must be able to work evenings (Wed-Sat) and weekends (Sat-Sun)
  • Must be punctual, organized, reliable and have the ability to multitask
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset for some positions (announcer)
  • Strong computer skills are an asset for some positions (statistics)
