POSITION: VARSITY WOMEN’S SOCCER HEAD COACH

Season Dates: February 16 – May 30 (concludes with State Championship)
Practice Location: Richard Barry Park
Practice Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00–5:00 PM
Home Game Location: Knights Field (main turf field)
Coaching Stipend: Included

JOB SUMMARY:

Lake Norman Charter is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Women’s Soccer Head Coach to lead and develop our high school soccer program. The Head Coach will be responsible for fostering a positive team culture, teaching fundamental and advanced skills, and preparing student-athletes to compete at a high level both on and off the field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior coaching experience (head coach or assistant at the high school, club, or college level preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and motivate high school student-athletes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Must meet all certification and training requirements set by the school, conference, and state.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the varsity soccer program.
  • Plan and conduct daily practices and training sessions.
  • Develop and implement game strategies and player development plans.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship.
  • Supervise assistant coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, athletic department, and school administration.
  • Ensure compliance with school, conference, and state athletic regulations.
  • Promote academic success and character development for all student-athletes.
  • Manage equipment, uniforms, and program needs within athletic department guidelines.
