Position Description VAS is seeking a Farm Performance Consultant intern to represent our suite of software products in the US market. This is a sales and consulting internship that includes sales training, on-farm sales experience, on-farm consulting and close interaction with full-time staff, including support staff and senior leadership. Location: Will work and/or can be based out of the following states; California, Idaho, Texas or New York. Internship Timeline: May – Create goals and establish the start and end dates June – In-person orientation with VAS mentor to learn all things VAS (Sales, Support, Product, Marketing etc.) July/August – Immerse within the VAS FPC team and customer/prospects to work towards the goal of your internship August – Exit presentation Major Areas of Accountability: Gain an understanding of the VAS suite of software products and be able to accurately relay the benefits of those products to VAS customers and prospects. Be willing to work with VAS full-time staff as well as independently calling on customers. Represent VAS in a professional and friendly manner at all times. Provide detailed feedback on the summer experience, customer and prospect feedback as well as needs within the industry Complete administrative tasks such as weekly reports, expense reports and other items on a routine basis Establish goals for the internship with your VAS mentor so that a plan is in place for success Within the goals, a specific focus or project will be developed and agreed upon to set the direction of the internship An exit presentation will be scheduled for VAS to learn of the successes throughout the internship Qualifications: Preference toward a career in the dairy industry upon graduation Pursuing a degree in Agriculture, preference for dairy, beef or ag communications/sales Strong work ethic and accountability Aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Must possess communication and people skills Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally Computer skills are required Internship applications will close on November 14th, 2025, please note you may not be contacted until after this date.
