Overview Job Summary: Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values. Performs general, OB, and vascular ultrasound scans to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the patient. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions Knowledgeable of and selects appropriate ultrasound equipment for general, OB, and vascular procedures. Monitors sound waves for quality of ultrasonic patterns and documents on appropriate media to obtain a permanent record of examination. Consults with physicians as required regarding collection of test data and critical test results. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Inspects equipment daily to ensure it is operating effectively. Reports malfunctions. Collaborates effectively with other members of healthcare team concerning pertinent patient information and interventions needed. Completes other duties or task as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Education: High school diploma or GED. Must be registered with ARDMS and/or CCI as registered RVT and/or RVS. BLS certified. Experience: Prefer minimum 3 years’ experience, this employee will be working independently
