Description

We are seeking an experienced VAT Manager to join our dynamic Tax team.
Role Overview:
As the VAT Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of indirect tax
compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring VAT processes are efficient, accurate,
and aligned with regulatory requirements, while also advising the business on complex
VAT matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee UK VAT compliance including preparation and submission of VAT
  • returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat reports
  • Provide expert VAT advice
  • Lead VAT risk assessments and implement process improvements
  • Manage relationships with HMRC
  • Support internal and external VAT audits
  • Keep up to date with changes in VAT legislation and assess business impact
  • Train and support junior team members and business units on VAT awareness
  • and best practices

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in UK VAT/
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT legislation
  • Experience of Xero/Quickbooks/Sage or any other software is essential
  • Experience managing VAT compliance processes and providing advisory support
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) preferred but not essential
