Description

About the role…:
We’ve got a brilliant opportunity for a self-motivated and ambitious Manager to join our growing Indirect Tax team, led by Simon Shaw. The role is also open to ambitious and experienced Assistant Managers that are looking to advance their career journey.
Following a transformative year where Cooper Parry has more than doubled in size and looking to keep that momentum for the future, there is no better time for you to become a key part of an incredible team, helping to shape the next phase of growth.

As a Manager in our Indirect Tax team, you’ll be…

  • Dealing with challenging client queries across a broad variety of sectors
  • Managing complex projects and deliver those projects with the support of the wider team
  • Have a sense of pride in your work and strive for an exceptionally high-quality output
  • Build relationships with clients and firm-wide team members, as you will be a “go to” person for indirect tax matters

We’re one of the fastest growing accountancy firms in the UK; winning awards for Best Place to work for in the UK by the Sunday Times 7 years running, Regional Tax Team of the Year and the Best Tax Employer at the Tolley’s Tax Awards, 6 awards for 2024 at the Inspiring Workplace Awards and Best Company in Europe in the European Engagement Awards. Why? Because we put our people at the heart of our success.
About you…:
We are looking for someone who shares our vision so we can continue to move ourselves forward. Play to your strengths, we say. Create a role you’re truly passionate about. Then, work flexibly to design a life that’s right for you.
You’ll be passionate about the success of Cooper Parry as a whole and its extensive client base… You won’t just want to answer queries, you’ll want to support businesses achieving their own growth journey, in particular Owner Managed Businesses and tech driven high growth businesses as they aim to grow on an international stage.

What you’ll need…

  • Strong technical skills
  • Commercially aware with the ability to think outside of the problem
  • Ability to build and retain strong relationships
  • Have trained in practice in either a legal or accounting environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Show sound judgement

About us…:
We’ve been dubbed ‘the rebels of accountancy’. So, we don’t give run-of-the-mill advice.
We’re straight-talking. Never afraid to share our opinions. We put people and relationships before products and services, and deliver a streamlined, client-focused service – free from unnecessary red tape.
That’s how we’ve become the fastest-growing accountancy firm in the UK, and we’ve never been the type to rest on our laurels.
Over the last couple of years alone, we’ve achieved some fantastic feats:
-

Best Companies’ 1 Accountancy Firm & No.30 Best Large Company to Work For in the UK

  • Became B Corp Certified in 2023 and we’re still the UK’s largest accountancy B Corp, measuring and improving our impact beyond business for a brighter tomorrow
  • Came No.3 overall at the Inspiring Workplace Awards in 2024, against all businesses of all sizes in the UK and Ireland. We were recognised as “Best-in-class” for Inspiring Culture and Purpose, Wellbeing, Employee Voice and Employee Experience
