REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Part-qualified ACCA/ACA with VAT qualification/experience, or a qualified Accounting Technician (MIATI, CAT, or AAT level) with strong VAT capability
  • 2–5 years of VAT-focused experience in a practice environment
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and MS Office
  • Demonstrated excellence in remote working environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication
  • Aligned with values of ambition, fairness, and dependability
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a VAT Specialist, you’ll be instrumental in preparing, reviewing, and filing VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of clients. This 35‑hour/week position supports hybrid or fully remote work, with some flexibility for in-office or client visits when necessary. A proven record in remote collaboration is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time across multiple client accounts
  • Review VAT submissions to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
  • Liaise with Revenue and manage VAT-related queries proactively
  • Stay current with Irish VAT legislation and best practices, applying updates professionally
  • Respond to client VAT concerns with clarity and fairness
  • Collaborate remotely with colleagues and clients, fostering trust and reliability
