Absolute Academy is a leading educational institution dedicated to providing high-quality learning experiences for students of all ages. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced VCE Specialist Mathematics Tutor to join our team.
*Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutor to provide individualized instruction and support to students in VCE Specialist Mathematics. The successful candidate will create a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping students build confidence and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for students in VCE Specialist Mathematics.
2. Develop and implement customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and learning style.
3. Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust instruction accordingly.
4. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, promoting student engagement and motivation.
5. Communicate regularly with parents and teachers regarding student progress.
6. Collaborate with Absolute Academy staff to develop and implement VCE math curriculum.
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes.
8. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with maths curriculums and teaching methodologies.
Requirements:
1. Achieved a study score of 40 or above in VCE Specialist Mathematics.
2. Strong knowledge of VCE Math Methods and Specialist Maths curriculum (Uni Maths is also preferred but optional!).
3. Past VCE Graduate (compulsory)
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work with diverse student populations (various learning styles and abilities).
6. Reliable, punctual, and flexible scheduling.
