POSITION SUMMARY:

The vCIO (Virtual Chief Information Officer) acts as a strategic technology advisor for both existing clients and prospective clients. This person will align IT strategy with business goals, while also assessing technical environments during the sales process to ensure a solid foundation for partnership. The vCIO builds and maintains strong client relationships through planning, communication, and guidance - and plays a key role in both client retention and new business acquisition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in IT strategy, consulting, or technical leadership.
• Proven track record of aligning technology with business goals for SMBs.
• Familiarity with managed services environments and layered security frameworks.
• Hands-on knowledge of networking, server infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable presenting to C-suite leaders.
• Ability to assess new environments quickly and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience in onsite technical assessments or pre-sales engineering a plus.
