We are seeking a Virtual Design and Construction “VDC” Coordinator to join our Calgary District team. The VDC Coordinator works report and work closely with the National Director of BIM & VDC Services to support in project delivery throughout design and construction utilizing Building Information Modeling “BIM” tools. The
successful candidate is responsible for creating and managing 3D fabrication models to be used for visualization, constructability analysis, building systems coordination and construction sequencing.
ENSURE MODEL ACCURACY FOR PROJECT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Development of the Electrical and Mechanical fabrication model(s) for prefabrication and for site use.
- Review and analyze the coordination models for spatial coordination and quality control.
- Manage the spatial coordination process by attending reoccurring collaboration meetings with project teams.
- Keep track of record of the issue resolution process and coordination meetings.
- Maintains a friendly and courteous attitude, even under stressful situations.
- Ensure that all deliverables and project information meet VDC Department requirements of the project contract.
- Provide a communication link between the design and construction teams.
