Summary:
The Virtual Design and Construction Specialist is responsible for training and supporting project teams in virtual design and construction activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain high quality Building Information Models and content for project teams.
  • Provide technical support for all staff on VDC applications.
  • Create 4D schedule visualizations.
  • Manage or assist with building and system model coordination meetings.
  • Develop system models of different detail level for all construction trades as necessary.
  • Adjust building system models for constructability.
  • Conduct training and presentation of VDC tool.
  • Attend VDC industry events.
  • Work with IT department to equip staff with proper hardware and software tools.
  • Assist Preconstruction in quantity takeoff activities.
  • Research new technologies.
  • Create visualizations for site logistics.
  • This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Education/Skill Requirements:

  • Preferred degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent experience with a civil emphasis.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Must have working knowledge of drafting and modeling software such as Civil3D, Revit and Navisworks.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing technical environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and team leadership ability.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with professional, friendly presentation.
  • Produce quality deliverables including computer models, drawings, and cost proposals.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a decentralized team located in multiple locations.
  • Participate in business development and networking activities to build relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Supports projects in other locations within the company as needed.
  • Attends events with clients to advance specific markets and projects.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in heat or cold, work outside, and work in high elevations.

Work environment:

  • Office, cubicle or workstation, job trailer, or job site.
  • This position is heavily onsite for the first 24 months in Benton-Washington County, Arkansas.
