The U‑2 enterprise depends on secure, reliable, and continuously available networks to execute some of the Air Force’s most demanding ISR missions. Your expertise ensures that both classified and unclassified systems remain operational, protected, and ready to support global operations around the clock. What This Role Offers - A critical position supporting 24/7/365 mission‑essential network operations Hands‑on work with classified and unclassified systems in a high‑visibility ISR environment Opportunities to design, deploy, and maintain advanced network and virtualization technologies Daily collaboration with operators, analysts, and mission support teams A chance to directly influence mission continuity and cyber readiness #LI-SF1What You Will Do: Network Operations & System Continuity Ensure continuous availability of classified and unclassified networks supporting U‑2 operations Monitor system performance and respond to network issues in real time Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems System Maintenance & Upgrades Patch and update workstations, servers, and virtual machines Design, deploy, and validate system upgrades and enhancements Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date system documentation Infrastructure Support Work within hybrid Windows and UNIX environments Configure and maintain CISCO and JUNIPER switches Support virtualization environments, including VMWare User Support & Technical Assistance Provide responsive support to users across the organization Assist with troubleshooting, system access, and network connectivity Help maintain secure, compliant, and mission‑ready IT environments Minimum Qualifications Security+ CE (or higher) in accordance with DoD 8570.01‑M Previous experience as a Network Administrator Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software infrastructures Experience with hybrid Windows/UNIX environments Experience programming CISCO and JUNIPER switches Active TS/SCI clearance Must be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport Several Levels Available: Level 2 - 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience. Level 3 - 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field Experience with: Windows Server administration Shell scripting VMWare virtualization Cisco networking equipment Network monitoring and logging tools Scripting/programming/coding experience Understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts In‑depth knowledge of: Active Directory Group Policy DHCP DNS Exchange Lync Symantec NetBackup / Backup Exec HII is more than a job - it’s an opportunity to build a new future.
