Description
Work in the pre-sourcing (Pre‑PSC) phase to drive seat-system strategy and selection during the architecture-definition stage, ensuring future vehicle programs are specified with the right seat content at the right cost, quality, and value customers will appreciate. Create Pre-Program System selection and program set-up (including Bill of Material, PDP, Boundary diagram, DVP, Hard Points Matrix, Trim Schematics, Vision System, SCCAF) Lead trade-off decisions on cost, mass, comfort, safety, quality, manufacturability, and serviceability. Support cost workshop to capture risk and opportunity list creation Translate customer insights, brand positioning, and competitive benchmarks into seat feature/content roadmaps and target costs. Manages OCE / DCE development to build weight / cost models; Identify LLF, ED&T, models are built to the scope of the program Manages Cost and Weight status to target waterfall with To4 to support program health assessment Utilize high level program take rates to calculate seat feature and component level take rates for Pre PSC Team Manage PDL updates and coding with program team and PDL Author as seat point of contact Support Modularity workstreams and implement into program content Determine Job last complexity, and recommend reduction actions Manage PSAs with Program ESA Manage program SCCAF and get STA Alignment Ensure required CAE / design simulations are identified and completed Responsible for all parts and attribute information entered in FEDEBOM Support Program Meetings: Program status, Timing, PMT, Studio, etc. Manage Seat Complete Open Issues List Established and active employee resource groups Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related field Excellent communication skills, both oral and written 5+ years - Experience with global supplier base and cost engineering/VAVE. 5+ years - Familiarity with ergonomics, safety regulations, occupant sensing, thermal, and comfort metrics. Prior team leadership or matrix leadership of application/feature teams. Tools: PLM, requirements management, DFMEA/DVP&R, CAD packaging.
