Vehicle Development Engineer - Fluidic Systems (m/f/d)
We are looking for a motivated Vehicle Development Engineer (m/f/d) at our home base in Augsburg with experience in fluidic systems design and development. This is a rare opportunity allowing you to be involved in demanding development efforts that are supported by parallel test campaigns allowing us to close short-iteration development cycles at fast pace. You will work in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for excellence by creating high-performance engineering solutions while keeping production costs at an absolute minimum

Your Tasks

  • Take ownership of vehicle sub-assemblies such as fluidic systems, valves, high pressure systems
  • Develop and assess requirements, 3D models and design validation procedures for components and assemblies
  • Perform techno-financial trade offs for structures, analysis for materials and testing
  • Be responsible for successful integration and testing activities
  • Present and discuss progress in design reviews with all stakeholders including peer designers, systems engineering and chief engineering
  • Perform drafting and dimensioning in 2D environments
  • Design using sheet metal and wire routing environments
  • Prepare bill of materials (BOM) for input into the procurement process
  • Create technical documentation on existing and new designs
  • Assist in actual hands-on tasks such as assembly and testing

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
  • 3+ year work experience in structures engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with cryogenic valves, seals and materials
  • Experience high performance, low-mass fluidic systems
  • Experience working with technical specifications, including design, implementation, testing and verification
  • Good skills with CAD software, Siemens NX preferred
  • Knowledge and expertise in at least one area of the systems engineering life cycle, including requirement definition, design, development, testing, verification and validation, operations, maintenance, and retirement/replacement
  • Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines within a project environment would be advantageous
  • Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
  • Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Self-starter, proactive and structured way of working
