Job Title: Vehicle Dismantler
Reporting to: Yard Manager/Spares Sales Manager

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Mechanical Aptitude - Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics including engines, gearboxes and other systems
• Attention to Detail - Careful and accurate work when dissembling, inspecting and logging parts
• Physical Stamina - Ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending and working In various conditions
• Problem Solving - Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the dismantling process
• Communication skills - Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dismantling End of Life Vehicles using hand and power tools removing parts such as Engines, Gear boxes, body panels and other reusable components following established procedures
• Hazardous Material Handing. Safely draining fluids and removing other hazardous items from the ELV based on regulations using our depollution centre
• Maintain a Safe Workplace by ensuring the working areas are kept clean and safe following established procedures
• Quality Control of all parts, assessing the removed parts to ensure they meet the required standard for resale
• Record Keeping - Maintain an accurate record of all parts removed, inventory levels and other data as required by Spares Sales Manager to enable easy access for sales or recycling
• Waste Management - Ensure we are following government guidelines and adhering to the rules of disposing of hazardous waste and ELVs
