Description

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly experienced Vehicle Inspector with 5 to 6 years of experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance assessment, and quality control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness, safety, and compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards before and after service or repair.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, or a similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Diploma or certification in Automobile Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, inspection checklists, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills to explain issues clearly to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections efficiently.
  • Knowledge of local vehicle safety and roadworthiness regulations is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicles before and after service or repair to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and safety systems are functioning properly.
  • Assess vehicle condition, including engine performance, brakes, suspension, steering, lights, tires, and emission levels.
  • Identify and document defects, wear and tear, or damage, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work carried out by technicians and electricians meets quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain inspection records and generate detailed inspection reports for management and customers.
  • Verify that all spare parts used in repairs are correct and properly installed.
  • Conduct road tests (when required) to evaluate vehicle performance.
  • Work closely with service advisors, mechanics, and workshop supervisors to communicate findings and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Report any non-conformities or repeat issues to the Workshop Supervisor or Quality Manager.
