Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer needed for our KC auction! The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team. No experience is required. Training will be provided. The ability to be outside and on your feet the majority of the time is required for the success of this role. Prior experience as a rental car damage inspector, insurance appraiser/adjuster, collision/body shop estimator, auction vehicle inspector, dealership vehicle appraiser, or as a related inspector or appraiser is a plus. Rewards for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience Monday - Friday work schedule Full benefits package Paid holidays Paid time off Matching 401(k) Career growth potential Work hours for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM Stay later as needed Occasional Saturdays Overtime is required at times but not guaranteed Responsibilities for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer Perform vehicle inspections and complete accurate cosmetic and mechanical condition reports. Document and photograph vehicle details, damages, and safety concerns. Coordinate vehicle reconditioning and repair processes. Move and stage vehicles to support auction and sales operations. Remove personally Identifiable Information (PII) from vehicles. Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members. Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards. Keep work areas clean and properly maintain tools and equipment. Follow all company safety, compliance, and confidentiality policies. Travel locally as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer: Strong written communication skills, including grammar, clarity, and attention to detail. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to accurately interpret inspection data, photographs, and vehicle condition checklists. Comfortable working with reporting software, digital platforms, and inspection systems. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy. Need to pass pre-employment screening. Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must possess a valid driver's license for the duration of employment.
