REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Inspector, Automotive Technician, or similar role.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot mechanical and cosmetic defects.
  • Comfortable working with inspection tools and checklists.
  • Ability to drive and test various types of vehicles (valid driver’s license required).
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in vehicle inspection or automotive maintenance (e.g., ASE, IMI).
  • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic tools and software.
  • Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Test and evaluate gearboxes (manual and automatic) for proper function and performance.
  • Perform engine bay checks, including fluid levels, leaks, noise assessment, and general engine condition.
  • Inspect and confirm proper operation of interior and electronic functions, such as:
  • Heated seats and climate control
  • Infotainment and display systems
  • Power windows, locks, and mirrors
  • Assess suspension condition, looking for excessive wear, uneven height, or unusual noises.
  • Examine tyres for tread depth, pressure, sidewall damage, and wear patterns.
  • Check and interpret dashboard warning lights, including engine, ABS, airbag, TPMS, and service indicators.
  • Report all findings accurately using standard inspection forms or digital tools.
  • Collaborate with technicians to flag faults that require repair or adjustment.
  • Ensure each vehicle meets the company’s quality standards before it’s released for sale, rental, or use.
