Description

We are looking for a Vehicle Logistics Coordinator (m/f/d) for our location in Bad Salzungen . In this position, you will be the central organizational point of contact for the smooth handling of all logistical processes related to vehicle storage and handling in our automotive compound. You will manage and monitor the processes, coordinate the relevant interfaces, and ensure complete documentation.

 

Your tasks

  • Yard Management & Inventory Management:  Administrative control and monitoring of the vehicle inventory at the compound using specialized logistics and ERP systems (e.g., Yard Management Systems / WMS).
  • Order and freight processing:  Recording, processing and handling of storage and retrieval orders, creation of transport documents, waybills (CMR) and acceptance lists.
  • Interface coordination:  Close communication and coordination with forwarding agents, drivers, customers, dispatchers and the operational yard team.
  • Damage and claims management:  Recording and processing of transport or storage damage, obtaining cost estimates and handling correspondence with insurance companies and manufacturers.
  • Reporting & Key Figures:  Creation of daily reports, inventory lists and statistics for management and customers.
  • General administration:  Invoice verification, master data maintenance, deadline monitoring and general organizational tasks in the daily business of the compound.

 

Your profile

  • Qualification:  Successfully completed commercial vocational training (e.g., freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, office clerk) or comparable qualification.
  • Professional experience:  Relevant professional experience in scheduling, administration or logistics – ideally in the field of automotive logistics / FVL / Compound.
  • IT & systems affinity:  Confident use of common MS Office applications (especially Excel) and experience with ERP or yard management systems.
  • Organizational talent:  Structured, conscientious and goal-oriented work style, even when things get stressful in day-to-day operations.
  • Strong communication skills:  Negotiation skills, friendly demeanor and good communication skills when dealing with customers and service providers.
