Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Assistant Manager Job Status: Year Round Full Time Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $3,461.54 to $3,846.15+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. Job Summary: Works with the Vehicle Maintenance Manager and Fleet & Transportation Senior Manager to oversee the strategic direction of the Vehicle Maintenance and Warehouse departments. Supervises the daily workflow of the Vehicle Maintenance Department, including the administration of all maintenance work, the communication and scheduling of work both inside and outside the department, providing staff with maximum safe equipment availability with minimized cost. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises and assists in the training of mechanics, welder, buyer and inventory controller. Perform the following functions: interviewing, performance appraisals, coaching, development, and assisting in hiring and firing. Administers and schedules the Preventive Maintenance Inspection, (PMI) program, Work Request Program, Inventory Control Program, and Safety Program in order to achieve timely, safe, and cost-effective repairs on Copper Mountain fleet by Copper Mountain’s procedures, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory agencies. Oversee the maintenance of the building, all assigned machinery, tools, equipment, fuel island equipment, and on-mountain fuel equipment. Monitors and reviews completed maintenance to ensure that necessary repairs have been performed per established procedures. Ensure that all work is recorded in the appropriate manner. Develop and maintain required and appropriate operational record keeping and information systems to ensure regular analysis and effective management of operations. Formulates, edits, and initiates maintenance procedures to ensure all necessary information is available to maintenance personnel and that they receive periodic and pertinent training. Evaluates current troubleshooting and failure analysis procedures to communication with other departments and vendors regarding the current status of operator error, accident, rework, or warranty claims. Updates other departments of current scheduling, work and time of release of units in order to provide minimum negative impact to other departments. Check for quality assurance of vehicles serviced and follow up with concerns/feedback from department contacts. Oversees the customer service protocols and ensures positive internal department relations. Prioritizes work orders based upon overall company needs and urgency. Maintain proficient understanding of risk management issues and communication of appropriate information to other Copper Mountain management staff for implementation. Coordinates training, maintenance and safe operation of mechanical, transportation, slope maintenance, heavy equipment and departmental equipment to ensure Copper Mountain’s employees are knowledgeable and safe in the use of Copper Mountain fleet vehicles. Research and establish innovative training methods. Organize training classes to maximize investment in our employees. Must be at least 18 years old Preferred Experience and Special Skills: Combination of five years of experience in the fields of master mechanics and welding with additional experience and knowledge in basic computer, supervisory, and management techniques.
