Description The Vehicle Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting company vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role also provides support for warehouse and facility operations, including general maintenance tasks, equipment organization, and assistance with operational activities. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, fluid checks, and general servicing. Diagnose and repair basic electrical systems such as lighting, wiring, batteries, starters, and alternators. Identify and address hydraulic system issues including hoses, pumps, leaks, and fluid levels. Conduct and document scheduled vehicle inspections according to company policies. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and service schedules. Monitor and manage preventative maintenance schedules for assigned vehicles. Identify potential mechanical problems early to minimize downtime and reduce repair costs. Coordinate with supervisors or outside vendors when advanced repairs are required. Warehouse & Facility Support Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored and accounted for. Assist facility maintenance personnel with general maintenance and repair tasks. Support minor building maintenance duties as needed. Operational Support Assist with moving personnel, equipment, and furniture as needed. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, warehouse spaces, and operational areas. Assist with internal workspace setup, relocation, and reconfiguration. Support pickup and delivery of donations to and from the organization. Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations. Requirements Required Qualifications Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Experience with routine vehicle maintenance and inspections. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in fleet maintenance, vehicle service, or warehouse operations. Automotive or mechanical certifications (ASE certification preferred but not required). Experience using maintenance tracking systems or inspection software. Work Environment Work may take place indoors, outdoors, and in warehouse environments. This position requires physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and moving equipment.
