Knight’s Smash Repairs is a family owned and operated business and is known as a leading smash repairer in Roma QLD. We have a vacancy for a full-time permanent Vehicle Panel Beater, who is passionate about what you do and enjoy working in a busy team environment.

As a Panel Beater, you will have the qualification and skills in repairing all types of vehicles. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out the following duties

• Removing damaged panels and parts, and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access
• Inspect cars, record appropriate details and apply contemporary technologies and processes for vehicle repair as relevant to panel beating
• Removing dents by hammering panels
• Straightening damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
• Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
• Filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
• Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment
• Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks and trims

To qualify this position, you will have
· AQF Qualified in certificate III in automotive vehicle body (vehicle painting) or equivalent or relevant experience
· Minimum 4 years’ experience
$77,000 to $82,000 Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
