REQUIREMENTS

• Full, clean UK driving licence (manual essential).
• Previous experience in a vehicle purchasing, inspection, or motor trade role preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and professional Vehicle Purchaser / Inspector to join our team. The role involves mechanically and cosmetically inspecting vehicles, test driving, negotiating purchase prices with customers, and arranging collection of vehicles either by recovery truck or by driving them back. From time to time, you will also support our showroom team, assisting customers and ensuring a positive buying experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct thorough mechanical and cosmetic inspections of vehicles prior to purchase.
• Perform test drives to assess vehicle condition and performance.
• Negotiate purchase prices with customers, balancing customer satisfaction with business requirements.
• Arrange vehicle collection, including driving back to site or coordinating recovery transport.
• Accurately document inspection findings and purchase details.
• Assist in the showroom when required, engaging with customers and supporting the sales team.
• Maintain professionalism and uphold company values when dealing with customers.
