Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. The Vehicle Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred.
  • NVQ level 2 or 3 / City in Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for this position.
  • Relevant qualifications in automotive technology or a related field would be advantageous but not mandatory.
    Working Hours
    8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday plus 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings on a rota (8.30am to 12.30pm)

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all repair processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep the work area clean and organised, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
