DESCRIPTION:

Gordon Transport Solutions Ltd is seeking a full-time Vehicle Technician to join our team in Stair. This position will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on light and heavy vehicles, We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a flexible can-do attitude to join our team in maintaining a mixed fleet of vehicles for our large customer base. We look after various vehicle makes ranging from 3.5 tonne vans to HGV units and trailers, The successful candidate will report directly to the workshop foreman on a daily basis with senior management overseeing the workshop planning. In order to be successful in this role, you will work well as part of a small team, be a good communicator and have the ability to take on a variety of different workloads, planned or otherwise

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV/LGV Repair & Maintenance
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic IT knowledge beneficial
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: From £46,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Carry out Service, Maintenance and Repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles and trailers.
  • Carry out inspections
  • Complete MOT prep/ presentation
  • Completion of all required paperwork, including job cards and service sheets using online systems
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification
  • To work safely and comply with H&S legislation and company procedures at all time
  • Attend roadside breakdowns
  • Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition
  • Enhance the image and reputation of the company at all times
