JOB SUMMARY

Vendor Coordinator is responsible for the day to day review, approval, and documentation of repo assignments. They are the last line of defense to ensure all state and federal regulations are followed before assigning an account for repossession. This position reports directly to the manager servicing- vendor support. This role requires independent judgement and decisioning of accounts in compliance with state and federal repossession laws. Knowledge of all areas in collections and loss mitt s generally expected.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) plus years of work-related experience (Collections/Repo).
  • Experience in the finance or credit industry preferred.
  • A working knowledge of automobile finance, collections, loan services, and/or specialty areas preferred.
  • Proficiency in SHAW Collections and SHAW Retail preferred.
  • Familiarity with indirect loan documentation, i.e. contracts, ancillary products, certificates, bankruptcies preferred.
  • Database skills preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills required, as well as the ability to utilize appropriate analysis, judgment, and logic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail; able to methodically review the execution of procedures and identify issues.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews pre repossession accounts to ensure all legal requirements and Exeter policies are adhered to prior to repossession activities.
  • Review reinstated accounts to ensure all documents have been submitted, signed by the customer, and account status is correct.
  • Monitor repossession exception reporting identifying possible issues and recommending solutions at an account level detail.
  • O ther duties as assigned.
