It exists in a very competitive market, and a robust regulatory environment, which requires regular reviews of strategic direction and operational emphasis. The target segment for Platforms is mass affluent through the advised channel, with some service provided directly to clients that become unadvised. This role is responsible for ensuring clear ownership of vendors, adherence to regulatory requirements and the establishment of effective oversight processes. The role will provide comprehensive vendor governance insights and reporting to boards and risk committees to support transparency and performance monitoring.  This role will also diagnose current state, identify gaps and set up processes and the future operating model to establish a fit for purpose Vendor governance for Platforms, including incorporating the changes from CPS230.   How will you make an impact * Conduct a thorough diagnostic of the current vendor governance framework complying to regulatory requirements including CPS230 requirements. Identify gaps, develop and implement a comprehensive plan to address identified gaps, enhance the overall vendor governance framework and ensure outcomes are operationalised within Platforms BAU.  * Establish clear ownership and accountability for vendors across Platforms, overseeing performance through effective SLAs, KPIs and contract arrangements in partnership with Procurement. * Identify, assess and manage vendor-related risks through ongoing risk assessments, due diligence, controls testing and remediation. Respond to internal and external audits and complete compliance assessments. * Maintain compliance with regulatory obligations and internal policies, monitoring regulatory changes and updating governance processes as required, including developing and implementing policies.  * Actively perform and participate in due diligence process including controls testing, respond to internal and external audit and complete compliance assessments.  * Deliver clear and timely vendor governance reporting, including dashboards and insights on performance, risk and compliance to support transparency and decision-making. * Support RFP processes for new service providers, including shortlisting, response evaluation and preparation of formal reports for governance, audit and Board requirements. * Provide training and development opportunities across Platform to enhance their skills and knowledge in vendor governance and risk management. * Act as the key point of contact for vendor governance matters, partnering with internal stakeholders to drive alignment, and uplift capability through targeted training and guidance.   What you will bring to the role  * Ideally at least 5 years’ experience in relevant professional role and working across a fast paced, customer/client service orientated team environment and/or financial service industry and driving a collaborative, high performance culture  * Competent understanding and experience of wealth management and end to end business operations  * Intermediate technical experience in managing vendor relationships and driving performance improvements in wealth management and end to end business operations  * Competent understanding of risk management and the risks inherent in using service providers and oversight of service providers as required by APRA CPS230, AI Governance Framework, Modern Slavery, Privacy Standards and Cyber Assurance.  * Understanding of competitors propositions and Superannuation/Investment industry trends, as they relate to the wealth management, in particular platforms environment.  * Understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services. * Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance or a related discipline or preparedness to undergo studies in business or finance desirable * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders. Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement process improvements. * Proven capability of accomplishment and experience in delivering continuous improvements initiatives working across functional business teams to influence change strategies and drive implementation of business improvements and outcomes   Who you are You are a confident and credible influencer, able to engage peers and senior leaders to drive outcomes in a complex, matrixed environment.
