A VENDOR MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST is responsible for managing vendor relationships and related processes, supporting improvements to supplier qualifications and helping maintain a strong supply chain to meet the needs of the business.
Job Summary: Prodomax Automation Ltd. is seeking a meticulous and innovative Vendor Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to align purchasing strategies with business goals, managing relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance and ensuring the timely delivery of goods or services while maintaining quality and cost-efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree / Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other related disciplines; or equivalent combination of work experience, training, and education.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vendor management or a related role.
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven track record in creating and improving processes and vendor performance

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, negotiate contracts, monitor contract terms (including KPI’s), and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure they meet standards of quality, responsiveness, and integrity in their work.
  • Develop, Manage and coordinate rebate agreements and help maintain timely and accurate rebate credits. Develop KPI’s with respect to measuring savings.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in our vendor relationships. Respond to concerns raised by stakeholders, and work to prevent potential issues that may arise.
  • Coordination with the Departments involved in purchasing activities, leading regular check-in meetings and status updates to ensure developments stay on track.
  • Conduct research on new products and services offered by alternate suppliers, including pricing and promotions, to identify opportunities for improvements to our supply chain.
  • Document and optimize payment terms for all buyers.
  • Create and coordinate new supplier onboarding processes.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Support the Customs and Finance team as necessary with respect to international shipments. This can be considered a training opportunity in customs management and compliance.
- Assist with coordinating importing/exporting processes within the company.
- Assist with outgoing and incoming customs paperwork.
- Ensure shipments to international sites are accurate with respect to the accompanying paperwork.
