About Midwest Chai:
Midwest Chai is a growing small business based in Cedar Rapids that specializes in handcrafted tea powder blends. We show up strong at local vendor markets across Iowa, sharing chai samples and building real connections. We’re now looking for one or two reliable, enthusiastic people to join the ride and help us keep spreading the chai love.
Position Overview:
We’re hiring 1 to 2 part-time assistants to help with our vendor market operations. If you’re someone who can rise early, work hard, and bring good energy—we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prep tea samples before events (simple, guided process)
• Load and unload supplies, display items, and products
• Transport materials to/from event sites
• Assist at/run the booth during markets: engage with customers, serve samples, and help with or be in charge of sales
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting booth space
• There will be travel involved, from in town to (rarely) up to two hours away.
• Represent the Midwest Chai brand with warmth and professionalism

Schedule:

• Saturdays (early morning through early afternoon) required
• Occasional Friday evenings and Sundays depending on event schedule
• Typically 8-20 hours/week, depending on market location and duration

• Reliable and punctual
• Friendly and able to chat with customers
• Willing and able to travel
• Hardworking and ready to hustle (some physical lifting required)
• No experience needed—just a great attitude and a willingness to learn
