Job Title: Vendor Program Specialist
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Remote)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Vendor Program Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of vendor credentialing—from initial identification and vetting to ongoing management and compliance. This role supports the evaluation, analysis, and monitoring of both current and prospective vendors, ensuring alignment with regulatory, contractual, and organizational standards. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong communication skills to ensure excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Paralegal Studies, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Vendor credentialing
  • Vendor contracting
  • Healthcare operations or compliance
  • Experience conducting research and interpreting technical documentation.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; ability to use 10-key by touch.
  • Experience managing confidential data with professionalism.
  • Comfortable performing complex analysis and decision-making independently or in teams.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate vendor qualifications and conduct due diligence in accordance with established requirements.
  • Monitor and manage vendor setup and credentialing processes in alignment with policy and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to obtain necessary documentation and maintain vendor databases.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure credentialing compliance and resolve issues.
  • Track contractual requirements and ensure vendors meet all necessary compliance benchmarks.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to vendor data systems and credentialing processes.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and performance standards across all work tasks.
  • Support ongoing professional development and serve as a resource or mentor to peers as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
