Description
What You Will Do1. Discovery, Validation & Venture Design Identify promising deep-tech opportunities and evaluate their commercial potential. Run crisp market research, customer conversations, and competitive scans to validate demand. Translate technical breakthroughs into clear problem statements, value propositions, and early business models. Shape GTM hypotheses—segments, pricing, channels—and test them quickly. Actively identify and test new tools—especially AI workflows—to increase speed and quality across research, validation, and venture design. 2. Build Momentum Through Selling & Stakeholder Activation Drive early venture traction by getting meetings, pitching concepts, and rallying partners. Help persuade founders, corporates, research institutes, and early customers to engage in pilots or co-development. Prepare sharp materials for Investment Committee discussions. Become the “glue” that keeps momentum high across scientists, founders, and commercial partners. 3. Talent & Founder Development Support sourcing and assessing CEO/CTO-calibre founders (with Ops support). Evaluate founder–problem fit and team complementarity. Work closely with founders to hit early milestones: customer validation, prototype development, licensing discussions, and early pilots. 5. Portfolio & Programme Contribution Support portfolio companies on targeted commercial and operational tasks. Help shape a strong pipeline across Advanced Manufacturing, MedTech, Robotics, and Energy. 2–5 years experience in consulting, venture building, product, innovation, engineering, or early-stage startups. Background in science, engineering, or technology (formal or practical); curiosity for deep tech is a must. Entrepreneurial energy: proactive, resourceful, comfortable operating with limited precedent. Strong communicator with a commercial instinct: you can open doors, pitch clearly, and build trust fast. Self-starter who loves testing tools, AI workflows, and new ways of solving problems. Thrives in ambiguous, entrepreneurial environments with high ownership. High autonomy and real ownership in shaping new ventures. A steep learning curve across technology, commercialization, and early venture building. Mentorship from experienced venture builders, founders, and scientists. Salary + AWS + Performance Bonus + ESOP. A front-row seat to advanced technologies in Advanced Manufacturing, MedTech, Robotics, and Energy. A no-BS, high-ownership culture where builders grow fast.
