The intensity of growth and investment in City of Parramatta means that Council, their partners, and community have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the City’s future and ensure it is culturally, socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable.    About the role  This position is responsible for welcoming and assisting visitors and venue hires at the Wentworth Point Community Centre and Yarra Community Centres as well as working as required across Council’s community hubs network delivering outstanding customer service and directing visitors and venue hires to spaces around the facility. The Venue Assistant works on a rotating roster and is able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining composure and delivering outcomes of the highest quality while having a high standard of customer service and presentation.   On a daily basis you will:  * Act as the first point of contact for customers, providing a welcoming presence, managing enquiries and complaints. * Serve as Centre Host by providing facility and Council information, directions, program and booking details, inductions, and connecting visitors with relevant activities and services. * Administer venue hire processes, support programming through ticketing and registrations, assist with room setup/pack down, monitor onsite activities, and undertake operational tasks. * Maintain booking and ticketing systems, support events and program listings, manage correspondence across multiple channels, liaise with contractors and suppliers, and assist with day‑to‑day administrative tasks. * Ensure high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and safety; report maintenance and risks; contribute to data collection and service improvement initiatives   About You  The successful candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide high quality customer service. You will also bring the below essential requirements: * Recognised tertiary qualifications in Customer Service, Tourism, Retail, Events or related industry, or demonstrated equivalent industry experience. * First Aid Certificate * Sound problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise visitor needs and tasks. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload   What’s on offer We are offering a full time permanent opportunity with an attractive remuneration from $82,692.71 to $91,067.29 plus 12% superannuation.
