About the Position   * Role:Venue Facilities Manager * Work Type: Full Time   * Location: Sydney Lyric,Foundry Theatre& Sydney Event Centre, Pyrmont & Capitol Theatre, Haymarket, NSW  * Hours of work:8:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday What it takes to be great in this role  * Demonstrated experience working as a Facilities Manager in a complex commercial property or event-based business with a broad technical knowledge of infrastructure * Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, security, lifts, electrical distribution systems, fire and safety and experience working with a BMS * A champion of WH&S policies and procedures * Well-honed contractor management skills, ideally in commercial or industrial building environments and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels * Ability to conduct minor repairs to the properties * Exceptional time and task management and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team * Strong Microsoft Office literacy, verbal and written communications skills are essential Your Day to Day    Admin | You will assist the Head of Venue Facilities in the professional administration and upkeep of the venues including interior and exterior fixtures, fittings and building structure. You will also assist with monitoring and scheduling of essential services, including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, lifts, security, camera, alarm and fire safety systems and carry out hand-on maintenance and repairs when required. Work alongside the Head of Venue Facilities in maintain Standard Operating Procedure for facilities WHS systems and inducting external contractors in line with these procedures. Independently project manage smaller scale capital expenditure improvements.    Venue Maintenance | Deputise for the Head of Venue Facilities as required and supervise work performed by Venue Maintenance team to ensure they carry out quality, hands-on maintenance tasks as required. You will be required to supervise and assist with daily hands-on maintenance and repairs of venues, including managing contractors and service providers while on site. For pre and post-production maintenance, you will oversee completion of repairs requirements in a timely and effective manner and undertake pre and post event checks of Event Centre Kitchen. Ensure venue’s electrical equipment is tested and tagged to comply with code and monitor inventory of spare parts and commonly required equipment.    Contractor Management | You will build relationships with external contractors and hirers and manage the system for logging and completion of work orders including obtaining quotes from suppliers as required and oversee waste management including scheduling of collections with contractors.   Why Foundation Theatres? * We are offering a stable, full-time position with a generous salary aligned to experience.  * We bring the best commercial theatrical content from around the world to Sydney and provide an exciting environment for presenting exceptional 5-star theatre service.  * We are an Australian family owned and operated organisation.
