KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar maintenance/facilities role, ideally in hospitality, hotels, or multi-site operations
  • Trade qualification (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or equivalent) highly desirable
  • Proven ability to manage external vendors and maintenance budgets
  • Sound knowledge of compliance obligations, including WHS and essential services
  • Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficient in using digital maintenance tracking tools or asset management software
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Etymon Projects is seeking an experienced and proactive Venue Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, safety, and operational integrity of all hospitality venues within our portfolio.
This hands-on role is responsible for managing scheduled and reactive maintenance, contractor coordination, and compliance with safety standards to ensure premium guest and team experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preventive & Reactive Maintenance: Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all venues. Respond promptly to urgent repair issues and coordinate quick resolutions.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the servicing, upkeep, and tracking of critical infrastructure such as HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, lighting, plumbing, and AV systems.
  • Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Engage, manage, and supervise external contractors and service providers. Ensure timely completion of work, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with WHS regulations, fire safety systems, council codes, and other statutory requirements. Lead safety audits and corrective action plans.
  • Maintenance Systems & Reporting: Maintain logs of completed and pending maintenance works. Develop reports for venue GMs and senior leadership on status, priorities, and budgeting needs.
  • Capex Planning Support: Collaborate with management and finance teams to identify long-term repair or replacement needs. Contribute to annual CAPEX forecasting.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for critical emergencies and after-hours incidents across the venue network as needed.
