About the role: 12-Month Fixed Term Opportunity The Venue Manager is responsible for the end to end, day to day running of the cellar door space, Notes retail space, and all hospitality offerings within our St Hubert’s cellar door. You will oversee (with the help of the Business Manager) all revenue streams, people, and OHS practices to ensure a safe, compliant, and robust business, upholding the values of TWE at all times. This is a front of house role that is responsible for all guest interaction to ensure we are consistently delivering exceptional guest service to the highest standard. The position’s working week includes working weekends and public holidays. Working together with the Business Manager, lead and direct the activities of the Cellar Door and Notes team to achieve or exceed key objectives and targets, including total revenue and gross profit, wine club enrolments and conversion and customer acquisition Assist in the development and execution of business plans that align with consumer marketing brand plans. Create a culture of excellent and consistent customer service – to every guest every time Ensure guests are consistently serviced in a professional, courteous, efficient and above all friendly manner. Hire, train, schedule and manage cellar door and Notes team members to achieve results Inspire the team to increase sales and generate positive experience for all guests Demonstrate strong leadership. Coach team members in all aspects of performance, always set a positive example. Hold the team to the highest level of wine knowledge and sales service standards Manage open and closing of property with business manager and tasting bar supervisor. Help ensure all processes, RSA and TWE policies are adhered to About you With a proven background in direct to consumer sales or customer service you will have solid people leadership experience coupled with a track record of delivering results against targets. Must be dynamic, innovative, positive and a strong team player. Demonstrated excellence in customer service and sales aptitude. Experience in leading teams, with a proven track record of supervising, leading and coaching teams. Strong computer skills, notably MSWord, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, and calendar. Must have strong foundations in POS systems and Shopify. Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and require minimal day-to-day direction. WSET knowledge preferred. Effective communication with all levels of employees and consumers, written and spoken, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
