JOB SUMMARY:

The Venue Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, logistics, and maintenance of a venue to ensure all events, bookings, and functions run smoothly. This role serves as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams during events, and is instrumental in maintaining venue standards, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in venue operations, event coordination, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in scheduling tools, MS Office, and event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Tripleseat, or similar).
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in venues and public spaces.
  • Physically able to perform tasks such as moving equipment and standing for long periods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or certification in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience working in high-volume venues or with multiple concurrent events.
  • Knowledge of AV systems, lighting, and technical event support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including furniture, AV equipment, and signage.
  • Maintain accurate records of events, incidents, and maintenance requests.
  • Conduct regular venue inspections and report any damages or needed repairs.
  • Support the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices.
  • Provide on-site support during events, ensuring client satisfaction and rapid response to issues.
  • Assist in marketing and promotional efforts related to venue offerings (if applicable).
