Location: HMAS Cerberus
Full-Time | Rotating Fortnightly Shifts (Week 1: Mornings – 5 or 6am to 2 pm or 3pm, Week 2: Afternoons/Nights – 12.30pm to 8.30pm – Monday to Friday
Pay: $60,000 – 65,000
The Navy’s Anchorage Café is more than just a place to eat — it’s a space where community, respect, and service come together. We’re currently looking for two dedicated and experienced Venue Supervisors to help lead our café operations and support our team in delivering warm, high-quality service to all who walk through our doors.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Venue Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day operations during your shifts, with a focus on upholding our values of inclusion, professionalism, and excellence. You’ll support our team, champion customer service, and ensure the café meets high standards in quality and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and supervise café operations during assigned shifts
  • Provide hands-on support to team members and lead by example
  • Oversee opening/closing procedures
  • Overseeing production of food /levels and monitoring wastage / and ensuring catering and production is at a high level
  • Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and maintain inventory accuracy which includes stocktakes
  • Cash handling/ this includes daily reconciliation, reporting and banking
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are met/ this includes monthly audits
  • Respond to customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members/ this may include sitting in on staff interviews/ roster scheduling and time sheets
  • Assist and support events
  • Foster a positive, respectful team culture in line with our values
