JOB PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient, accurate, and risk-controlled execution of all activities within the CORD unit, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service in line with agreed service standards. The role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of credit overrides and authorizations, maintaining compliance with internal policies and delegations, proactively managing operational and credit risks, and supporting continuous process improvement to enhance productivity and control effectiveness across wholesale credit operations JOB CONTEXT Operates within a highly regulated banking environment, where compliance, accuracy, and risk control are critical. Plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the bank’s credit override processes and preventing unauthorized or inappropriate transactions. Balances efficient service delivery with robust risk management, often under tight deadlines and high transaction volumes. Ensure robust adherence to procedure and mitigate Operations & Credit risk to prevent any unauthorized overrides. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Review, authorize, and execute credit overrides received through all channels (ICCS, BPS, GFS etc), ensuring strict adherence to established processes, policies, and delegation matrix, while maintaining exceptional customer service and the highest standards of data integrity Ensure adherence to agreed SLA and TAT, while maintaining customer first approach. Investigate operational incidents related to credit overrides, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and timely reporting of Risk incidents. Conduct periodical review of procedures to ensure effectiveness. Support the onboarding and ongoing training of team members on credit override processes, risk controls, and system updates. Adhere to applicable Operations policies and procedures of the Bank, relevant guidelines of UAE Central Bank/Government Handle other functions of Governance, Risk and Control as and when allocated. Proactively identify opportunities for process automation, digitization, and best practice adoption to enhance control effectiveness and operational resilience. Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and explanations to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Business Administration EXPERIENCE Minimum 3–5 years of experience in banking operations, with direct exposure to credit appraisal and credit override processes. Supervisory or team lead experience is an advantage. Proficient in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are a plus. Solid understanding of wholesale banking operations and regulatory requirements. SKILLS Strong planning and organizational abilities. Analytical and investigative mindset, with attention to detail. Excellent report writing and documentation skills. Effective team management and interpersonal communication. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to a dynamic, high-volume environment.
