What you will be doing: Vertex’s HEOR Summer Internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the application of health economics, real-world evidence, and outcomes research in a leading biotechnology company. Interns will support projects that inform value-based decision-making, contribute to evidence generation strategies, and help demonstrate the impact of Vertex therapies on patient outcomes and healthcare systems. During your Summer Internship you will get the opportunity to learn about our industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Interns can expect to be challenged by their work, connect with other students, and feel valued by the Vertex community. What you will need to succeed: Currently/recently enrolled in a relevant university qualification (e.g. Data Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, Economics) Strong analytical and quantitative skills Familiarity with health economics, outcomes research, or epidemiology Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Interest in biopharmaceutical innovation and patient-centred research Must be independently motivated and a strong team player Excellent verbal and written communications skills, demonstrated analytical abilities Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint expertise Confidence in using/managing large databased and spreadsheets Ability in presentation design and delivery You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from 1st June to 7th August 2026 Program Details: Program Dates: 1st June to 7th August 2026 At Vertex, we believe that when you feel your best, you can perform at your best.
