Position Description The Vertical Social Content Producer will serve as the lead for vertical-first content across U.S. Soccer’s platforms, with a primary focus on Snapchat. This role will concept, produce, shoot, edit, and publish short-form vertical content designed to deepen fan engagement, grow reach, and drive discovery across vertical social platforms. While Snapchat will be the core platform, this role will also support other vertical social platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, etc.). This position requires a strong creative eye, hands-on production skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, live-event environments while also developing planned and evergreen vertical content. This is a one-year, fixed-term contract role, ideal for a creator who thrives in rapid-turn environments and wants to make an immediate impact across U.S. Soccer’s social ecosystem. Primary Responsibilities Lead U.S. Soccer’s vertical content creation efforts on Snapchat, from concept through publishing. Produce, shoot, and edit vertical-first content for Snapchat and other vertical social platforms. Capture live moments at matches, training sessions, fan events, and announcements with platform-specific vertical storytelling. Collaborate closely with the Social Media team to align vertical content with broader platform strategies and campaigns Partner with the Content and Video teams to adapt existing footage, photography, and storytelling into vertical-first formats. Ideate and execute Snapchat-native creative concepts and storytelling. Leverage performance data, analytics and platform insights to optimize content and refine best practices. Ensure all content adheres to U.S. Soccer’s brand standards, tone, and visual identity. Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and innovations in vertical and social-first content creation. Requirements Minimum Qualifications 2–4 years of experience producing social media content, with a strong emphasis on vertical-first platforms. Demonstrated experience creating for Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram Reels, or similar vertical platforms. Proficient in video editing (Slate, or equivalent mobile-first tools). Ability to shoot, edit, and publish quickly in live-event and fast-paced environments. Strong creative instincts and understanding of platform-specific storytelling. Ability to manage multiple short-term deliverables alongside long-term ongoing creative projects. Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) General knowledge of soccer. Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission. Willingness to travel to matches, training camps, and events as needed. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. Desired Qualifications Experience covering sports, entertainment, or live events. Familiarity with Snapchat tools and formats. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop). Familiarity with soccer culture and terminology. Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.
