Description Relocation: No relocation offered for this position. Worksite: Tyndall Air Force Base Status: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Contingent upon Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. (CPC) being awarded an Air Force contract to support range vessels at Tyndall Air Force Base, we are seeking to hire qualified vessel crew to support vessel operations and maintenance of range vessels that provide military target systems retrieval, dive operations, and launch corridor clearance. The vessels will include multiple 120-foot missile retriever boats, 25-foot range patrol boats, and smaller dive boats. We are currently hiring for the following job functions: · Vessel Captains, · Chief Engineers, · Engine Utility Men, · Wipers (Oilers), · Ordinary Seamen, and · Divers. Vessel crew will generally perform the following tasks: · Assist with operation and maintenance of 120-ft Missile Retriever (MR) vessels and 25-ft range patrol boats in support of aerial target retrieval operations, dive support missions, launch corridor clearance operations, and other missions up to 200 nautical miles offshore · Help ensure compliance with all USCG regulations and Air Force safety directives during vessel operation. · Adhere to mission safety protocols, including HAZMAT handling and weather-related contingencies. · Maintain effective communication with other vessel crew members and vessel captain. · Respond to emergent mission needs, including severe weather preparations, anti-terrorism surveillance boat support, and emergency recoveries involving hazardous materials (HAZMAT). · Execute environmental protection practices including fuel spill prevention and vessel cleaning per base protocols. · Report mechanical deficiencies and support corrective actions. Requirements · Maintain a current, active Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) commensurate with the role/duty/billet you will be working on the vessel. · Maintain a current, active TWIC card. · Familiarity with SCUBA/dive operations, corridor clearance, and target retrieval procedures. If applying to fill a dive role, must maintain a current PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. · Experience in a military environment preferred, working with the military on a military facility. · Understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. · Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds. · All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation. · U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment. · Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
