SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
· 4 years experience fabricating pressure vessels.
· Alberta B Pressure ticket.
· Working knowledge of ASME SEC VIII Div 1 as it applies to fabrication of pressure vessels.
· Poses a valid Journeyman Boilermaker/Plate Fitter Certification is an asset
· Proficient with GMAW/SMAW (F6/F4) & SMAW/SMAW (F3/F4) welding procedures
· Competent in fitting Socket welds & Butt welds ranging in various sizes.
· Must have own tools & transportation.
· WHMIS and Crane certificate is an asset.
· Must be able to adapt with a great attitude and strategy on tight deadlines and competing demands.
· Excellent organizational skills with a track record of exceptional project management
· Ability to follow company welding procedures and comply with Ripa Industries Ltd. Quality Control Program as per the Alberta Boilers Safety Association.

SUMMARY OF JOB RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Vessel Fitter/B Welder to join our busy and growing Fabrication Shop located in SE Calgary. Your responsibilities will include fitting ASME Sect. VIII, Div. 1 Pressure Vessels, using techniques that adhere to all ASME and customer specs. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Reads and interprets blueprints or welding process specifications to determine layout requirements.
· Handles layouts, cutting openings, fitting nozzles and internal detail fit up on pressure vessels.
· Responsible for fitting shells, heads, and pipe spools as necessary.
· Operates manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
· Read and interpret weld details and welding procedures.
· Follow company safety procedures and safe work practices.
· Follow existing work standards and look for improvements where possible.
· Ensure production timelines are met.
