Job Description Brief: This position sits in our Freight Platform and will offer the opportunity to join one of the major global dry bulk freight operators, shipping 55 million tons of cargoes per year, concentrating integrated activities of chartering, trading and market analysis. Main Responsibilities: Communicate and liaise with vessel owners/masters/charterers, trading team and other relevant stakeholders Responsible for following up on post fixture activities Basic understanding of Storage Plan Bunkering Optimization ensure close collaboration with bunker desk to successfully manage bunker planning Monitor vessel performance with assistance from 3rd party Routing providers Understanding principles of Voyage Profit & Loss Understanding of main charter party clause Manage assigned external relations with customers and / or vendors Ensure and champion a close and harmonious working relationship with the relevant Commercial team Collaborate effectively with other Freight Platform desks Qualifications Experience: 3 to 5 years as Vessel Operator of Time Charter dry bulk vessel experience at Sea, preferably as officer on dry bulk vessels would be a plus Education: University degree in Shipping, Math or Economic studies Languages: Fluent in English essential Bulgarian and Spanish as an advantage Systems: Proficient in use if technology particularly Excel, Word Shipping system (strong preference for IMOS) Soft skills: An interest in and aptitude for people management Customer focused and relationship building with key accounts (Internal Customers and ship owners) Accountability and strong sense of ownership, team play and collaboration.
