Veterinary Assistant: Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital and Resort, a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital and resort in Garner, NC, is looking for an experienced full- or part-time veterinary Assistant to join our team.  Our unique hospital and luxury pet resort offers a fun, fast-paced, team-oriented working environment. We also offer monthly lunch-n-learns about new products and services. Veterinary experience of at least two years is required. The preferred candidate should have basic veterinary knowledge, such as the following: vaccine protocols,  heartworm and flea prevention,  animal handling/husbandry,  venipuncture and running lab tests Anesthetic monitoring, intubation, and catheter placement   Candidate must also have good computer and organizational skills, attention to detail, a sense of humor, upbeat personality, and great customer service skills.   Competitive salary and benefit package includes PTO and holiday pay, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K, continuing education, mental health resources, charitable giving hours, and personal pet care discounts.  Hours can be flexible during the week (morning or evening) but do include every other weekend and holiday shifts.  Our hospital hours of operation are  Monday through Friday 7am to 6pm,  Saturday 8am to 1pm,  Sunday 5pm to 6pm   Please fill out our online application and attach resume at http://www.carolinaranch.com [http://www.carolinaranch.com]
