We’re excited to announce a brand-new clinic opening in the heart of St Kilda, and we’re on the lookout for a Full-time Vet Nurse who is ready to join the team when we open our doors this November! The standalone clinic is centrally located, just off Acland Street and close to the dog park. It’s also a short walk from our St Kilda Petbarn team who will be singing your praises and directing excited customers your way. There is also the option available to start in a neighbouring Greencross clinic prior to St Kilda’s opening. About your new role: Undertaking general nursing duties including surgical and medical nursing, consult nursing, emergency and critical care, and pathology Performing minor procedures when required Caring, handling and cleaning all animals Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment Reception duties including being the first point of contact for clients, handling client enquiries in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting and discharging patients Our ideal candidate: We are looking for a person who is proudly professional and passionate about nursing, maintaining clinical standards, driving improvement, fear free/stress free handling and making sure that every animal who crosses our doorstep gets the best possible standard of care! Holds a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing with minimum of 2+ years of experience Excellent animal handling skills Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and procedures Calm, friendly, empathetic, and mature Great communication and customer service skills Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential This is your chance to be a part of something new – Apply Now!
