JOB OVERVIEW:

NP Veteran Engineering LTD are world leaders in the restoration, preservation and maintenance of Pre-1915 Motor Vehicles. Working on mainly Pre-1905 London to Brighton Run eligible cars, we are respected for our dedication to preserving history and heritage skills that are associated with these vehicles.
We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge of older vehicles or machinery and have experience in working with various tools and machinery, to include but not limited to manual lathes, manual milling machines, acetylene gas for hot work. Working on the worlds oldest vehicles, you will be responsible for assembling components, ensuring precision in the manufacturing process, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout production, assembly and diagnostics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience working with classic, vintage, steam or older vehicles in a hands-on environment.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery in a safe and effect manner.
The ability to weld.
The ability to silver solder.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to learn, diagnose and rectify faults and faulty components.
The ability to build engines and gearboxes.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A genuine passion, Interest and willingness to learn.

Pay: £34,000.00-£44,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Make, assemble and fit components using hand tools and power tools to create finished products.
Understand and diagnose running issues.
Create and run wiring in basic circuits throughout vehicles.
Assemble, diagnose and re assemble engines and gearboxes.
Operate milling machines and Lathes to turn bushes, pins and similar components on a singular basis.
Perform basic mechanical procedures, to include servicing, relining brakes, dissemble and reassemble components.
Operate with acetylene gas torches to bend and straighten material, solder and braise material.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and work towards solutions.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
