QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous experience as an attorney, RVSR, or related field.
· Sound knowledge of legal principles, practices, procedures, and regulations.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
· Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple cases and deadlines.
· Deadline- and detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Familiarity with Veteran disability claims and issues affecting the Veteran community.
· Ability to research and identify key points of a client’s concern.
· Results-driven and compassionate in helping others.
· Ability to prioritize and multitask while working independently.
· Earned a bachelor’s degree in a related field or three years of veteran claims experience. Military service counts towards the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are a Veteran disability consulting firm looking to add case managers to our case management department. We are seeking candidates who understand how claims are processed with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and how to efficiently help our clientele of Veterans with their disability compensation and pension claims. We are actively seeking candidates who have experience with Veteran disability compensation and pension claims. Veterans are HIGHLY encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Use 38 CFR parts 3 and 4 to conduct research to support the claim and case development.
· Draft HLRs, supplemental claims, and appeals for Veterans and partner law firms.
· Conduct legal research and investigate facts to support client cases, including gathering and analyzing relevant documents, evidence, and testimonials.
· Investigate facts to help in the development of a claim.
· Research and interpret laws, regulations, legal opinions, and precedents to analyze and apply applicable legal principles.
· Be able to identify additional compensatory benefits for Veterans via disability ratings.
· Effective communication with Veterans regarding their benefits and options.
· Record, transcribe, and store client information via company databases. ​
· Stay updated with changes in laws, regulations, and legal practices to provide accurate and up-to-date counsel to clients.
